One year ago today, Howard Stern shed his traditional radio skin, pwned (owned) the censors and packed up for an adventure in satellite radio for only half a billion dollars over five years. Who cares? I do, because I'm one of the listeners that pays $12.95 a month to hear Stern on Sirius Satellite Radio uncensored . Subscribership only one year later has reached a reported six million for Sirius. Before Howard Stern, Sirius managed to sign under one million subscribers. Today Stern was paid a bonus worth nearly $83 million for surpassing subscriber goals set in 2004. Love him or hate him, Stern has another four years to go, well paid and perfectly uncensored. Happy Anniversary Howard.
