I'm a sucker for great marketing. I'm also a willing participant if the find is worth the journey. The find here is the Glasgow, Scotland band called The Fratellis. The brand new iPod commercials have hit the web with a thud followed by thunder. Not because of the PC and Mac guys. Nope! It's those dancers, pouring heart and soul into the dance as they rock hard to a new beat. The song that carries that beat is called Flathead. This song is infectious, it's rowdy, it's keenly crisp with a performance full of rock n' roll abandon. Minty fresh but yet not vile. I must have it! Ninety-nine cents be damned I'm in! I'll let you decide if the other three songs on The Fratellis EP are worth a listen. Grab a high energy blast from the new iPod spots and get ready to feel the swagger. This is 100% pure take no prisoners marketing. That makes me the marketers pimp. I hate myself for loving you.
