I'm certainly not an Emperor, but I do feel like royalty in my new Hotel Living bath robe. I'm wearing it right now as I write this post. Frightened yet? Please indulge me for a brief moment as I pontificate. Twice in the past few months I have had the opportunity to enjoy a day spa experience, once on Valentine's Day which included a hot stone massage (my wife Terri's idea) and the other was on a recent trip to Las Vegas. In Vegas if you want to use the hotel gym expect to pay a premium to use the facility. At Treasure Island the facility is called WET which includes the workout gym along with a day spa, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, fancy showers, fresh smoothies, mini muffins, apples and the use of a plush white spa robe. All this for $22 dollars a visit plus free bottled water. The list actually goes on a bit longer, but why get caught up in the minor details? Here's the real story.
During both spa experiences I was enraptured by the plush white cotton robe that came along with my visits, much like the robes that nicer hotels provide. When I was in that robe I immediately felt relaxed and in perfect harmony with the world. I was completely caught up in how it made me feel. I was not interested in the brand, the marketing or even the price. I was only focused on how it made me feel. I never realized the amazing feeling of relaxation that could come as a result of wrapping myself in a 100% ultra plush, turkish white cotton robe.
I came home and bought a robe of my own so I could relive that feeling again anytime I choose. This would qualify under life's simple pleasures. A simple pleasure that most women have been enjoying for years. Please cut me a little slack now ladies as I try to catch up with the rest of you that have been in the know. I bought my robe at Linens & Things for $78 dollars after trying on every single one in the store until I found the one that brought me back to that experience I was looking for... that unforgettable feeling. Cheers!
Note: Mr. Besilly was not paid a fee for this product endorsement.
I like your wife already! Spa days and massages are a wonderful thing!
And YUM! fresh smoothies sound awesome.
(See I can get past the visual of you in the robe real quickly! HA!)
