When searching for life lessons to live by, you can gain a great advantage by focusing downward to find the big lessons in extremely small packages. I chose to observe the snail and found no shortage of surprisingly simple wisdom in the life of my tiny friend. Here are the 5 things I learned from a snail.
1. Always look up.
2. Move through life slowly.
3. Sometimes we can all be a little slimy.
4. By all means avoid salt, it can kill you.
5. You'll enjoy life more if you learn how to come out of your shell.
So insightful! (Especially #4 -- how true!)
Seems my generation needs to pay closest attention to #2, however. Hmm...

Even the slimiest of creatures become appealing when combined with garlic and butter. Coupled with a baguette? Oh yeah!
